Student coursework

1. Presentation and extended blog post

Each student will do ONE presentation to the class, sometime over the seven week course. The presentation will be about the topic we are discussing that week (or a particular aspect of that topic) and will be entirely their own research.

The presentation should be roughly ten minutes long, and will be educational to other students, thought provoking and describe best practice. Include screenshots and live internet sites if appropriate.

Afterwards, the student will upload their presentation file to Speaker Deck and post the link on the Content Management area on the forum.

The same student will then write an extended blog article after the session, expanding on their research and including learning from the session, incorporating other aspects of the topic and possibly drawing on other related topics. Go beyond writing up what was discussed in class, form your own ideas and don't be afraid to challenge what you might discover.

Deadline for the extended blog article is 31st March 2012.

All students will update their blogs with "what I learned this week", but these won't be assessed, it is for their own benefit.

2. Content management project

A content management project will enable students to demonstrate their understanding of the course.

Deadline for the content management project is 30th April 2012.
